How do Plumbers Use Sewer Cleaning Machines?

Image
Tough drain clogs can be a nightmare for any business or residence. If it’s bad enough that a professional plumber needs to be dispatched, you may see the variety of tools that they use during their job. One of the most versatile tools in a plumber’s arsenal is the sewer cleaning machine. This machine is powerful enough to unclog any drain, yet compact enough to fit in any work space. Whether it’s an outside storm drain with plenty of open space or a busy restaurant kitchen, there is a sewer cleaning machine to fit the situation. While they are similar to everyday drain snakes that you can purchase at a drugstore, these machines provide the power and flexibility to clear any clog. So, how do they work? Essentially, a sewer or drain cleaning machine is just a motor with a length of cable attached to it. On the end of the cable is what we call a sewer/drain cleaning blade. The plumber feeds the line into the drain, just like you would with a home drain snake, until they find the clog.
